Studying in the UK need not be expensive. Many government colleges and colleges of further education welcome international pupils and charge only around half the fees of independent boarding schools. Most pupils are from the UK, so there will be every opportunity to use English socially and make British friends. Government colleges invest a lot of time and money to ensure they provide high quality education and facilities to their pupils. Many government colleges offer the opportunity for pupils to live with a host family, while others provide accommodation in residential halls.
